                Presented by Patricia Landeche, LCSW

Patricia Landeche's lecture addressed Carl G. Jung's  developed  technique for investing contents of

the unconscious, which he called active imagination.  She outlined some of the advantages to consider

that can 1) give us clarity and understanding when we have said or done things that are totally out of

character, 2) when our emotions overwhelm us, 3) when we just can not seem to do things we need

to do, or 4) when we need to find meaning and purpose for the events in our lives.  In her lecture,

Patricia explored different practical ways of doing this work.

                Friday, January 27, 2017 - From Ego/Self Identity to Ego/Self Relationship

                Presented by Louis Deshotels, LCSW

Louis Deshotels presented a lecture on how a Jungian perspective development moves from Ego/Self

Identity, an inflated state, to isolation and alienation and then to experiences of connection to the Self

and dreams are an expression of connection between Ego and Self and can expose inflation and alienation,

as well as connection to the Self.  Louis presented how, as this process goes on, the Ego learns its place

with the psyche.  Louis' lecture  focused on descriptions of these states.

Louisiana since 1985.  His interest in Jung goes back to the early 1970's.  He is a member of the Board
